LIFESTYLE

I realize this blog has a lot to do with the phyiscal spaces we lives in but my life is full of so much more than that. In fact, that's only a tiny sliver of Jordan Jean and this slice of the internet! There's so many other areas that spark joy in my life and my hope is that through these posts you'll feel that joy too. I'm a relentless believer, constantly striving to give up all control to the only One deserving. I do my best to saturate intention into my time and anything I buy, wear, use, and bring into our home. I love me a good sweat and run a marathon from time to time to get one state closer to my ultimate goal of... 50. Oh, and I am a sucker for weddings. Don't worry though, there's more. Dive in below!

In August of last year I shared my curly girl routine HERE that I had been using for about 6 months at that point. It was a very long and detailed post with a video included so if you’re just getting started with your own curly girl journey, I suggest starting there! In the months […]

We are so excited to be finally sharing this post with you all! Since we started following Dave Ramsey’s teachings we’ve sworn by a budget. Having a budget has helped us tremendously, with and without debt. We know even the word ‘budget’ itself can sound pretty intimidating but we’re here to tell you that it […]

Why We Live on One Income

A couple of days ago I mentioned in my stories that we’re currently living on one income. I suppose it was a cliff hanger of sorts. I really just wanted to save all of the details for this little blog of mine so I could fully explain why we’re living this way. We are DINKs […]

Happy Wednesday, friends! I’m sorry I’ve been a bit MIA this week. I’ve been working hard to complete some in-progress projects on the house this week. I’m hoping that I get at least one of them done tomorrow! Fingers crossed… Last week we did a giveaway on Instagram with three copies of “Total Money Makeover”. […]

Financial Peace

When you think about how to spend your money what do you think about? Other than the necessities like food and your rent/mortgage and utilities, where can you put your money so that it will leave you feeling satisfied? Should it be used to buy things that you like, or to go somewhere and experience […]

Tent Wedding

Weddings can be expensive. The word expensive being subjective of course. To a millionaire, $50,000 probably doesn’t seem like a lot for a wedding but to me, that’s a heck of a lot of money to spend on one day! Don’t get me wrong, it’s arguably one of the most important days of your life […]

HI!! Happy Thursday! I suppose some people might be offended that I had the strong desire to write this but well, this is my blog. It is a place where I share my thoughts and by the Grace of God, some people choose to read them. If you disagree with what I think (I’m fully aware that ~98% of […]

Happy (late) Monday! This post has been requested many, many times in the past month so I figured why not start out this week by telling you all our proposal story! For those of you that don’t know, Stephen and I started dating four years ago after he had been tutoring me in physics for […]

WELLNESS

I know that some people don’t want to use essential oils (which makes me so sad… They are such a gift!) but aside from that, there are two Young Living products that I believe should be in everyone’s home: Thieves Household Cleaner and Ningxia Red. Ningxia Red is our superfood antioxidant drink that we drink […]

Hi! After years of trying to conceive and helping so many other women on their own TTC journey’s, it was time for me to sit down and share my Progessence Plus testimony and resources I found extremely helpful. This is not medical advice and I am not a medical professional. This is just my own […]

A good friend of mine and I were talking a week or so before Christmas and got on the topic of the 75 Hard Challenge. If you don’t know what it is, it’s a mental toughness challenge (that got pretty famous on Tik Tok apparently) developed by Andy Frisella in which you have to do […]

Happy Thursday to you! I hope you’re having a good one so far. Today I’m going to be sharing all of the details on our garage gym. For a couple of years now, I didn’t think that I really had enough to say or share to warrant a post but I’ve been asked about it […]

Are candles bad

Do you love candles? Yep. Me too. Well, let me correct that statement… I did. It’s undeniable – not only do they make a space smell amazing but as soon as one is lit, the coziness of the area is amplified. Even if it’s in the dead of summer! We’ve always had them around our […]

Stepping Away From Corporate

Woof. This post is one that I can’t believe I’m writing. You might’ve noticed that in that past month+ or so, I’ve been pretty quiet on here. There has been a LOT happening behind the scenes, a lot in the works, and it’s finally time to share some of it with you guys! Before I […]

Weight Holder

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday! Stephen here. Today I am going to share with you a homemade DIY weight rack that organizes your weights and saves you space in your garage that you can make for much less than you would buy online (about $30 to be exact). We bought a bunch of weights to start […]

Brooke the puppy

Today I’m going to share something a bit different than the home decor/DIY posts I’ve been sharing recently… Brooke’s adoption story! If anything, I love to have these posts for me and Stephen to look back on to remember these sweet (and somewhat funny) stories. Two Saturday’s ago we went to the local Sweet Potato […]

Happy Tuesday! Today were going to take a little break from fall decor and DIYs to talk about some yummy decomposing organic matter. You don’t have to laugh… I’m not funny, I know. After tropical storm Florence rolled through here, our garden had seen better days. The plethora of water helped some of the produce […]

Happy Friday! I hope you all have had a great week. Today I wanted to share about something that has been requested quite a bit… My skincare routine! After years of trying all sorts of different skincare routines, I’ve finally found what works for my skin. Before I get into sharing the details, I want […]

WODs

A few weeks ago I had a serious heart-to-heart with myself. At the beginning of every month I try to reflect on the past month, write down who and what what I’m thankful for, establish my goals, etc. but I had really REALLY been slacking on that too. I would have the intention of doing it and then would look […]

Why I am social media free on the weekend

It has been about a month now since I decided to be social media free on the weekends and let me tell you… It has been great! It’s honestly pathetic I’m even having to say any of that. That I’ve had to ‘limit’ myself from it or that creating this limit for myself has had a great impact […]

New products I'm trying

Something that I’ve always loved and still do love is trying new products. Maybe it sounds crazy but that’s just always how I’ve been. I remember when my mom would come home with new shampoo and conditioner and or new laundry detergent and it felt like Christmas to me. It’s so lame, I know, but […]

Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll

This past Sunday Stephen and I drove up to Las Vegas to meet my parents and their “gang of six” (their group of long time friends) as they call it, so that my Mom and I could complete a marathon in the state of Nevada. It’s always a blast around them. They crack jokes and […]

Las Vegas Marathon

I wrote this post last week and never had the chance to get it up here since I wanted to make sure my weekend meals were included. Now that the weekend (and race) is over, here it is- my diet the week leading up to marathon day. Spoiler alert, we finished the marathon despite a […]

Continuing on from the post I shared Tuesday, I think it’s time for me to share my thoughts on the dreaded word- diet. January 2016! This year is a big one for me. Not only will I get my masters but I will also hopefully get a “real-girl” job and will have to move (where that will be I have no clue). Since returning back to school from Christmas break all I’ve been able to think about is […]

I’ve been some what “off the grid” the past couple of weeks because my poor little iPhone drowned from some condensation in a cooler… Through my LifeProof… I’m not salty at all… I still might be kind of bitter about the whole situation but as always, the phrase “everything happens for a reason” has never […]
