current go-to products

You know when you find something you love and you just want to tell all of your friends about it? Well that’s me right now. These go-to products of mine make my life so much easier and make me feel a little bit more put together than I probably am “in real life”. I suppose it’s the little things, right?

Derma – E Anti-Wrinkle Cleanser: Derma E sent me this face cleanser to try a couple of months ago. I wanted to give it a fair chance so I’ve used it every day since November. With three quarters of the bottle gone, it’s safe to say I’m a fan. It makes my face feel really soft, removes makeup, doesn’t dry out my skin, and it smells good (it’s an added bonus that it’s cruelty-free, mineral oil-free, etc.) I’d buy another bottle! However, I will also say that I always love trying new products so I’ll probably try other Derma-E options first. The Anti-Wrinkle Scrub is also GREAT! I use that once a week.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: After years of using the Neutrogena makeup remover (the one in the blue bottle that most people have used at some time or another), I decided to try this Micellar Cleansing Water. I prefer this stuff because it doesn’t bother my eyes like the Neutrogena one tends to do. It also doesn’t make my eyes feel oily. I usually just use this to remove my mascara after washing my face but I’ve also used it all over my face before bed when I’m feeling #lazy.

Estée Lauder Idealist: My friends and I went to Ulta one day and I told myself that I didn’t need anything so I wouldn’t buy anything. A girl can try… No surprise here but my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to ask one of the beauty consultants, “I don’t wear a lot of makeup daily so I’m curious to know… Is there something that will just make my skin look better without wearing foundation? Smoother and even toned or just more refreshed in general? I don’t know the best way to explain it.” She responded back to me, “I think I have something to mind!” She put this stuff on my face followed by a couple of other things but I was already sold on this. It made my skin feel so smooth I was actually pretty shocked when I looked in the mirror. Overall I’m usually pretty pleased with my skin but after using this for a couple of months now, I think it’s seriously helped decrease the size of the pores on my face. I only use it once in the morning before I put the rest of my makeup on. A very teeny tiny amount… It has a hefty price tag so I’m trying to make this sucker last for a minimum of 6 months. Ideally 8-12 months…

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer: I’ve gone through my fair share of concealers because it’s pretty much the “most important” makeup I wear. As long as I put concealer on before work, I feel mostly put together. I bet some of you read that and are like “WHATTTT?!” But yeah, that’s how I roll. Anyway, this concealer covers really well, lasts all day, and doesn’t settle in my creases (the reason why I changed from my previous concealer).

Better Than Sex Mascara: This is still my favorite mascara of them all. The formula doesn’t upset my eyes, the brush makes my lashes so fluffy, and it lasts me a long time. You know how everyone and their mother is getting fake eyelashes? Not I! This does the trick just fine.

Dry Bar Triple Sec 3-in-1: This stuff is THE BEST! I’ve been really good about washing my hair less and figuring out how to deal with my terribly flaky, scaly scalp. This is something that helps me with that tremendously. I’ll use this on the days I don’t wash my hair to give it a little bit of life and to make it smell SO GOOD. It’s also really great if you need to add texture to your hair (something I don’t need much of).

I hope these products elevate your life too! Do you use any of these? If so, what do you think of it/them?

  1. […] Lauder Idealist – I’ve mentioned previously how much I love this stuff and that still rings true. Hello smooth complexion, bye bye large pores. […]
