Spring & Summer Shoes I’m Loving

posted in:

It all started with a pair of shoes that I’ve been eyeing for over a year. Yes, you heard that right… Over a year. I knew that I would get a lot of use out of them in the warmer months but by the time I could work them into the budget, they were out of my size. It just wasn’t meant to be at that time! I was hoping Nisolo would bring them back and sure enough they did!

Before I took the plunge though I wanted to make sure that there wasn’t anything else that I preferred over these and well… Now I’ve got an entire blog post written because of the rabbit hole I went down. Ha! There are SO MANY out there that I’m loving right now (I’m also a sucker for shoes so this was quite fun!). I went ahead and rounded all of them up for you all, including my favorite sneakers ever and some must haves in my closet that I’ve owned (a variation of) for over 12 years.

My thoughts on each option from left to right and down:

Braided cross sandals – I love the nude color of these! I always have a pair similar to this in my closet. They’re so easy to throw on with some jean shorts or a dress but are a little more “formal” than my beloved Rainbows.

Birkenstocks Mayari and Gizeh – I have owned this pair of Birkenstocks for over 12 years and love them dearly. They still are in great condition! However, I’ve also been considering getting another color and style for years now too. I know they’d also get worn a ton and they are literally the most comfortable sandals I own. I won’t be surprised if I deliver this baby while wearing Birkenstocks. I’m not even joking about that. Everyone needs a pair of Birks on their feet. I don’t care how ugly you think they are. Your feet deserve them… HA!

My favorite sneakers in black and peach – I’ve put so many miles on my Boosts that I’m putting holes through the tops of them! The next pair that I get will be more “neutral” so I can wear them with more which is why I included these.

Rothy’s slipons – One of my best friends has these and can’t get enough of them. Rothy’s are great because they’re made from sustainable materials and they can just be thrown in the wash to clean. I’ve heard that they look brand spankin’ new after they’re washed. This linen color will work with anything!

Low block heels – Okay, I have to admit, these are next on my list to save up for. They can’t be worn with as much as some of the others, however, I think they’re so classy, timeless, and can easily dress up an outfit!

Pink espadrilles – Espadrilles are on trend right now and I thought these pink ones were so fun! They’d look cute with some jeans, shorts, or a dress!

Clogs – You guys probably saw that I was even eying these when I shared this post. They’re not everyone’s cup of tea but they are mine!

Jack Rogers Lauren and Sloane – I own a few pairs of Jack Rogers sandals already so I really don’t need more (heck, I don’t NEED any of these). However, they’re also shoes that I frequently grab for and that I’ll own for literally decades. I tend to stick with colors that will be very versatile such as the ones I’ve shared here!

Red sandals – Aren’t these so fun?! I love a pop of red. I’m guessing they’re super comfortable too because they’re Rothy’s!

Huarache Sandal – I can’t get enough of them!!! I love the boots that I own from Nisolo and I really love the company as a whole. Before I ordered these I read reviews on sizing and saw some conflicting opinions. Some were saying to order down a half size while others were saying to order up a half size. I ordered my typical size (8) and they are very snug. I’m hoping they loosen up a bit after walking around in them but if not, I’ll exchange them for a 8.5.

Classic white sneaker – White sneakers are such a classic but especially recently they’ve been everywhere. Maybe I’m the only one that thinks that? I believe that is a result of these becoming the new hot thing to own. I’ll keep my thoughts to myself on that one… Anyway, I have searched through a lot of white sneakers before I found these. It sounds a bit silly but I think that just because a sneaker is white, doesn’t mean it’s a classic, you know? I think these are though. I also love the touch of metallic on them and that they look easy to clean. I’d wear them with just about anything in the spring and summer.

Have you guys been shopping a lot since the pandemic started? Any fun new finds?! I’ve heard both sides! I find it interesting to hear. I haven’t much. I did get a new cookbook and the shoes I shared about above. Other than that, we’re saving our pennies for the next house and baby on the way.

Thank you so much for being here today! Stay well, friends.
