Hi! Something that I learned quickly on this curly girl journey is that updos are a curly girl’s BFF. I couldn’t make it through day 3ish-5 or 6 without them! I figured that what I’d do is create this vault of sorts where I’ll share all of my updos with you all so that they can become your BFFs too!
This is one of my favorites! Very easy and quick to do (hence why it’s a go-to of mine)! Just call me Princess Leia. Just kidding. Don’t do that.
Obviously another go-to for me. I have multiple of ways of getting to the relatively similar end result but this one is super easy and usually fool proof for me. “There are many ways to skin a cat” as they say… I plan on sharing my other methods too!
This is perfect for work, attending a wedding, a date night, whatever! I love how pulled together and elegant chignons are. This is one that looks way more difficult than it really is!
This one is extra spunky and fun. I always get compliments on my hair when I do it like this! If you have thick hair or a lot of it, I suggest doubling up on the elastic bands on the buns. I’ve had a bun bust due to humidity one day. That wasn’t cool. Also – don’t be fooled (despite how many other people you will fool…) this style is extremely easy to do!
Do you guys remember when I was rushing to get ready for a wedding and did this updo in less than 5 minutes flat? I got so many compliments on my hair that day! I’ve been doing this style for years. Once you get the hang of it it’s super easy to do and easily can easily take a look from “boring” to “look at me! I’m so put together!” 😉
There are so many more coming but this is a great place to start! If you have a particular updo that you love, send it my way and I’ll make sure to get it on here! I’ll continue updating this as time goes on so save this post to return back to. You can do that by making it a favorite on your browser or by pinning the image below!
You must have been reading my mind. I’ve been on CG for only a couple months and learning cute updos are a must. I also use 1 or 2 long decorative hairpins, these seem to be easiest for me.
