I’m not typically one to go buck wild over Amazon Prime Day BUT this year there are a few things in particular that I’ll be looking for. It’s not without reason though. You see, it all started with a mop… More on that below. Anyway, there are a few things I’ve been eyeing for a while now that I figured I’d just wait for Prime Day to see if they went on sale (plus hey, it prevents impulse buying! I say that as I’ve been waiting months to buy some of this… Ha!). I’m also trying to be a bit more proactive about buying birthday/Christmas gifts so here’s my effort towards that.
Swing hammock – We spend a lot of time outside and I think Ellie (and Sophie eventually) would really love playing in this. It reminds me of a Bluey episode that she quotes all the time that has a similar hammock in it. “Poor little bug on the wall… Tink tink…” Tell me I’m not singing alone…
Stacking wooden blocks – Team battery-less, open-ended toys! If these are on sale I’ll most likely snag them for Ellie’s upcoming birthday gift.
Dot markers – The girls love coloring! I love that these are non-toxic and washable. I’m hoping they go on sale to get as Christmas gifts.
Swing – I shared about this swing HERE when Ellie was just a little nugget. Even though it has taken a beating from the weather (I recommend storing it inside if you can remember), we still love it so much! Both girls use it all the time. It makes a really great baby gift! I get asked about it often still so I’m hoping that it’s on sale tomorrow if you want to get it.
Rechargeable batteries – I feel like sales like this are always a good opportunity to purchase things you actually need but don’t want to spend your money on so you avoid buying them. You know? We use rechargeable batteries around here and we’re running very low. If this is your first time using them, we charge them with this charger. Go ahead and grab this must have while you’re at it too. I have a fear of a kid ingesting a battery so I love the idea of keeping all of them organized in this and on the top shelf where they can’t be reached.
Grass Fed Collagen – This is my favorite collagen. We use it in coffee and smoothies daily so we go through quite a bit. I’m hoping it’s on sale for that reason! Gelatin/collagen is a great way to love on your gut and high in protein! Of all the collagens I’ve tried, this one has the least amount of flavor (when people say their collagen is unflavored…… They must not have sensitive enough taste buds 🙈…).
Mop – This whole post and even thought of Prime Day started because of this mop. My brother and mom have this mop and even though a couple of months ago I shared in my newsletter that I got a new mop that I love, I used this one at both their houses and it ranks supreme. The reason I purchased the mop (it’s this one if you’re curious) I did over theirs is because I didn’t like mopping the house with dirty mop water. Then they came out with this new version that has a clean water reservoir and it changed the game. You can clean the floors, baseboards, walls, etc. with this mop. It’s worth the money. I’m just hoping it’s on sale a bit before I finally buy it.
Carpet/upholstery cleaner – This is probably one of my most popular items I get asked about. We use ours ALL THE TIME and have for 5+ years now. It has seen better days, that’s for sure. This one is the updated version of what we have. If you have children or pets, I highly recommend getting it, especially if it’s on sale tomorrow.
Kindle – I’ve been reading a ton (perks of being barely on social media) and spending quite a bit of money on books (even buying them used) that I think a Kindle might be a smart investment. I also like the idea of not having to store a ton of books even though I do give quite a bit of the fiction reads away to friends. For the record, there are still some books I will buy in hard copies. I talked about it with my friend who reads the most of anyone I know and she recommended this edition specifically. I think on sale or not it will end up paying for itself very quickly. I’ve also heard great things about having one for newly postpartum moms to be able to read while nursing in the middle of the night instead of scrolling on the phone so if you’re in that camp, it might be something to consider!
