Hey guys! In the past couple of weeks I’ve been doing some window shopping for our next house. I know it’s early (we’re moving in September) but we’re also in the process of saving and I wanted to have a decent gauge on how much we plan to spend. I also just love the design process so I’d most likely be doing this either way! I’ve seen so many cute bedding options and considering I’ve received quite a few questions on the duvet we have in our bedroom I figured I’d go ahead and round up some of my favorite bedding options for you all (including that one!).

As a general rule of thumb, I prefer duvet covers over comforters. That way we can remove the cover and throw that in the wash vs having to wash the entire comforter. I also like how we can customize how fluffy the duvet cover is by adding different or multiple inserts. A quality down insert should keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. A big issue that we have with the comforter we own is that when we wash it, the stuffing inside gets lumpy and it’s hard to fluff out again to make smooth. Again, another reason why I prefer duvets. For the duvet covers I tend to gravitate towards neutral colors. I’m a sucker for white bedding. If I want to add color, I prefer to do that with blankets/throws or quilts.

Here are my current picks! For every single one of these, I saw it and had the reaction, “Oooo I love this.” If I didn’t have that reaction, it didn’t make the list (that’s how I always do these things!). I’ve included a wide range of price points. I will say, we love our bedding from Target! They have held up well. I would love someday to own the linen duvet and quilt from Serena and Lily (I have been eying them for years). It is an investment but the fabric will get better with time and it should last for (literally) decades.
