The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 C All-purpose flour
  • 1 t Baking soda
  • 1/2 t Salt
  • 1 C Butter, softened
  • 3/4 C Granulated sugar
  • 3/4 C Light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 t Vanilla extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Bag Ghiradelli milk chocolate morsels
  • 1 Bag Ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 C Chopped nuts, optional

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  2. Using a hand mixer or blender and large bowl, beat the butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy.

  3. Add the eggs and beat until combined.

  4. Gradually add in the flour mixture until combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.

  5. With the blender on slow, add in both bags of chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.

  6. Drop cookie dough onto an ungreased baking sheet using a spoon or melon baller. 

  7. Stick the baking sheets in the fridge and let the dough chill for at least 2 hours. 

  8. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes at 375 F.
