About nine months ago if you had told me that I would be writing this Merry Christmas post to you with a baby soundly sleeping on my chest I would’ve been quite shocked. Yet here we are! Baby Jackson John (YES, OUR GIRLS HAVE A BROTHER!!!!) made his way into the world on December 11. I look forward to sharing his birth story with you. It has been quite an eventful ride for our family. So much has happened/is happening but we are just so grateful for the Lord’s sovereignty and over and over again we will continue praise him for His perfect timing. As I’m writing this I realize that can sound like a cliff hanger so I want to mention that Jack is doing GREAT! And I am now doing great too. The whole family is adapting really well. We have other things that are going on that have made this another trying season (along with the rest of the year we’ve had). I’ll most likely to share bits of that the next letter!
We are taking it day by day with grateful hearts that the Lord sent His precious son to dwell with us and then ultimately die an undeserving death for His undeserving children. Goodness, what a gift.
“and going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him…” Matthew 2:11
Merry Christmas, to you all. I pray that this season provides you with never ending HOPE. “
And since we didn’t get our Christmas pictures with Little Man here, here’s one from our first Christmas (mass) as a family of five! We’re trying to be really intentional about celebrating the year liturgically so instead of Christmas just ending and putting the tree away on December 26, we are just STARTING the celebration! We will continue celebrating until January 6, the date of the Epiphany!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I pray your 2024 includes an abundance of blessings.
Awwwwww. Too cute! Congrats to you on your sweet baby boy. So happy for y’all!
